One of the things I honestly never thought about before becoming a parent was where my kids were going to go on non-school days. It’s not on any parenting list, they just show up. I loved those random days as a kid… something fun and different, but now as a parent I’m like … OK… another day that I need to plan.
It can be a bit stressful. Where are they going to go? How are they going to get there? How will it change our schedule? AND… how do I keep them away from screens (which is a problem I’m encountering more and more).
So enter The Palm Beach Zoo. My boys are both at the age where anything animals is exciting and intriguing. I want to take that interest and use it to my advantage. Spring Break Zoo Camp to the rescue.
If your kids are interested in something, it’s the perfect time for them to learn as much about that subject as possible.
So instead of sending my son to a sitter for the week… I know the Zoo’s Spring Break camp will expose him to a gagillion learning opportunities that he wouldn’t get anywhere else.
“Spring Break Zoo Camp combines our top-rated activities into one fun-filled week,” said Kelly Miller, Education Programs Manager at the Zoo.
Children between the ages of 5-8 will spend an exciting week enjoying up-close animal encounters, zoo keeping activities, animal habitat visits, behind-the-scenes tours, group projects, games, crafts, science experiments, carousel rides, and enriching conservation education activities.

“There’s a new adventure to explore every single day,” said Miller. “Spring Break Zoo Camp is a great way to spark children’s interest in nature, educate them on different species, and teach them how to become animal ambassadors.”
Spring Break Zoo Camp: 9:00AM-4:00PM, March 18-22 & 25 (but there is before and after care… so it will more than likely work with your schedule too).
Sessions run March 18-22 & 25 from 9A-4P! Enjoy up-close animal encounters, behind the scenes tours, group projects and more, in this fun-filled week for 5-8 year olds.
