When Disney reached out to partner with us for a playdate I couldn’t stop jumping up and down. Seriously!!! Of course we would love to host a playdate party.
But then, I started overthinking. Where would it be, who would we invite, what theme would we decorate?
Then the box arrived. That simple Mickey sticker was the best looking sticker I’ve ever seen. That’s when I told the boys what we were going to do.
It was time to find out what our party was going to be. See the full unboxing here.
The easiest way I have found to invite our friends over is in a Facebook event page. It’s simple to build excitement and share photos and videos. Don’t stress over sending invites for a playdate. Remember playdates are supposed to be fun. For the kids and for the parents.
Popped Passion Popcorn cakes are such an easy and fun way to have cake. It’s different, it’s yummy and it’s not messy. You can customize your cake based on your favorite candies, nuts and dried fruit.
I can’t describe how EASY this tasty treat is and the kids loved the gummy frogs and snakes. It’s just dirt. Good old dirt. Crushed up Oreos and chocolate pudding. Top it with a frog and the kids come running.
What kind of playdate would it be without cookies? These are from @confetti_confections and are absolutely stunning. They fit in with our Lion King and Disney theme perfectly and the kids couldn’t believe they were cookies. I should really say they are artwork.
Something I’ve found that makes playdate easier is to have one centralized table. It is better for pictures, it also makes it easier not to have to worry about decorating a large area.
Because kids have shorter attention spans, there need to be a few options. I was able to grab bubbles (in the same colors) and cups to color and personalize from The Dollar Tree.
I love these coloring cups. You can change out the paper on the inside to match any party. That way you don’t go through a million plastic or paper cups, and the kids know exactly which cups are theirs. It’s a way to make your party a little GREEN too. 🙂
If you have ever been to Walt Disney World you know Mickey Rice Krispy treats are in every store. So we had to have them at our playdate.
Fill your table with decorations the kids can actually play with!
And of course Mickey and Minnie Ears are a must.
But my favorite part of any party are the balloons. It’s amazing how one string of balloons can change the entire feel of a party or play date.
Check out these custom made signs from @scrolldeckart They looked stunning on the table. The kids and the adults loved them.
Don’t stress over a playdate. #nowmorethanever is the best time to host one!
