I can’t tell you why I love Halloween as much as I do. I know it has something that has grown as I’ve gotten older. I haven’t always wanted to fill an entire month with skeletons and bats… but now I squeeze as much in as I can.
As a mom of two it can be challenging finding the time to make every moment count. Here are a few things I wanted to share to help make your October a little more memorable.
Holiday houses can be really expensive. A great way to make more memories is to purchase plain brown houses and decorate them for each holiday. I found these at Oriental Trading.

Including these awesome unique bug candies and pumpkins decorating kits.
Decorating what you already have is another great option… And saves money too. Our family loves GoGo Squeeze in their lunch boxes, so it’s super easy to decorate each pouch for the holiday. Your kids will definitely smile when they see these Halloween surprises. You can find GoGo Squeeze at most grocery outlets. I grabbed these at Target.
When I saw the zombie arms I knew I had to have them! These are from Mint to Party on Etsy. She has amazing paper products that help elevate any occasion… Even breakfast! Put them on top of donuts, pancakes, waffles, fun sandwiches. The opportunities are endless. See all of her amazing party products here.
Making your own pumpkin spice Play-Doh is another fun activity to do with younger children. You probably already have all of the ingredients in your house. Just add the Pumpkin Spice. Here is a simple recipe.
This is probably one of my favorite things to do… Bloody intestines. Hahahhaha.
When you’re running short on time and simply unroll cinnamon rolls and cook as directed. Then mix in strawberry jam or food coloring to the frosting to make your blood. It only takes about 15 minutes and you have an easy Halloween inspired breakfast.
When I saw this Eyeball Pie on YouTube I knew that this was something my boys would love. I cannot take credit for this at all… And love that The Diet Free Zone shared this. I added maggots to mine. The beautiful thing about this recipe is you really can make it your own. Here is how to make your own Eyeball Pie.
