I am in charge of Christmas food every year… I love it. Our Christmas plans are staying home all day, playing with toys and eating yummy food.
I’m not sure why I wait all year until Christmas Day to make foods like this.
This year, instead of waiting, I’ve been playing with a few ideas. When I was at ALDI and saw how cheap their berries were, I knew I needed to try this.
Here’s what you need:
1 cup of berries – your choice. Fresh or frozen.
3-4 croissants
3/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
8 oz cream cheese, room tempature
Tear croissants into pieces and add berries to the top.
Mix sugar, cream cheese, eggs and milk together.
Pour the mixture on top of the berries.
Let this sit in the fridge for 25 minutes. It allows for the bread to soak up the liquid.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until all of the liquid is firm.
Cut and EAT!!!!
I recommend eating this while watching a Hallmark Channel movie marathon… but that’s just me. 🙂
