There is something so special about the week before Christmas. Last minute preparations, final planning, the kitchen smelling like every delicious yummy food your family loves.
It’s also a time when I know I’m searching everywhere to find fun family events to keep the kids fully engaged in the magic of the season.
Last year I started a family tradition without even knowing it. We saw our first holiday show at The Kravis Center and in that moment, looking at the stage and hearing the music all while looking at my kids faces, I knew we had to do this again every Christmas.
I was thrilled when I saw A Charlie Brown Christmas was going to be in town this season. We have been listening to the sound track and watching the TV special this season, I can’t wait to surprise my kids with a real experience with the characters they already love.
Who doesn’t love Charlie Brown? All of his friends too! Peanuts is among the most popular and influential brands in the world, and Schulz’s Emmy and Peabody award-winning story has been a longstanding tradition, warming the hearts of millions of fans since it first aired on television over 50 years ago.
Now, the live stage adaptation of the classic animated television special brings all your favorite characters to life – all set to the original special’s dialogue as well as the unforgettable sounds of the classic Vince Guaraldi musical score.
A Charlie Brown Christmas Live On Stage encompasses each of your favorite scenes from the original television show, with more fun, more music, and more finding the true Christmas spirit.
Inclusion is also a big theme. After the final bow, the show crescendos into a celebration of song as the audience is invited to join the Peanuts gang in singing traditional Christmas songs and carols.
If you are planning for your kiddos – The show is 90 minutes including intermission.
