January is National Oatmeal Month — did you know that? Of course there is a month for everything, so let celebrate!

Did you have a favorite oatmeal as a kid? No, not the instant kind, although I do enjoy the blueberry flavor. Not sure it has real blueberries though.

While it is has cooled off considerably in South Florida I know that I need to take advantage of the weather and feel like I live up north.

Almond Joy Baked Oatmeal

So while I have gotten rid of most of my holiday candy… I could always go for an Almond Joy. It’s one of those candies that polarizes people. I think it’s the coconut. I’m a fan. 🙂

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal

Peanut Butter and Chocolate always go together. Always. Why not add it to oatmeal and hand treat yourself early. It’s also a great way for kids to ease into oatmeal if it’s not something they naturally love. This one is gluten free too! Which is something I’m easing into this year. Chocolate Cherry Oat Bake

I must just gravitate toward chocolate when it comes to oatmeal. I’ve very much a sweet vs. savory breakfast gal. Strength and Sunshine has a whole slew of oatmeal recipes I love and this is one of them. I’ve been incorporating more gluten free in my life and this is another one –  Chocolate Cherry Oat Bake   – I’m sure you could switch out the berry if there was one that you or your kids liked more.
