When I first started out my blogging journey I met Fatima at a Bloggin’ Mama’s Nissan Safety Academy luncheon. I drove to Miami by myself in hopes of learning a little more and meeting a few other moms.
She didn’t care that I was a new blogger and that I didn’t know anyone there… there she was taking pictures for me and making me feel like I actually knew what I was doing. There she is, right behind me with a big smile and personality. 🙂
At the last blogger event I hosted, she drove almost 3 hours (with traffic) to come ice skating and support my event just because that is who she is.
Tell us about yourself and your family
I am a former B2B marketer and social media strategist turned full-time mom and blogger. I’m a married mom of three kids and two pups residing in South Florida (Pembroke Pines). We travel as often as we can, and bring the pups along for the ride.
What part of Florida do you live in? How long have you lived there?
We moved from North Jersey to South Florida in 2014. We’ve been in Pembroke Pines ever since. Pembroke Pines is located between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.
If someone were to come to your town, where must they go?
Depends on what you’re into. If you like dining out as a family — pups included — then I recommend visiting Village Tavern in The Shops in Pembroke Gardens. It’s a great atmosphere for family and pups. Outdoor seating, of course!
If you’re looking for some outdoor fun, then head over to Vista View Park off of Griffin Road. It’s a great place for a picnic or a family walk.
Describe how your part of Florida is for families looking to move to the area or go on vacation. Be our tour guide…
Pembroke Pines is the place to be if you’re looking to raise a family. Close to major highways and filled with family-fun activities, there’s something for everyone. Great authentic restaurants, A+ rated schools, and several parks to choose from – it’s a no-brainer, really.
What is something you love about being a Florida Mom?
Being a Florida mom is exciting! We don’t have to go too far for a relaxing family vacation. Plus, if you have family nearby, you can always go on a romantic getaway with your spouse if you need a break.
