Quite a few things have changed for us this year, I’m sure in your family too. One thing that was have made a habit of doing each and every year was ICE at Gaylord Palms. (see last year’s post here)
Missing it was actually something that I was worried about as the summer rolled around and things were canceled or postponed.
Once I saw Gaylord Palms announce it’s holiday lineup I knew we had to go.

I asked my husband what his favorite holiday flavor was going into the Christmas season… and was a little surprised when he said Egg Nog. Now, I absolutely love Egg Nog — always have–but I try not to buy it because I will non-stop drink it. Do you have any food like that?
So when he mentioned Egg Nog, I was glad I could buy some and use it to bake with.

I feel like it’s a toss up when you ask people what their Halloween plans are. I know most of it has to do with the area they are in… but also so many of our favorite Halloween events have been canceled. Raise your hand if you love St. Patrick’s Day? I don’t think it gets enough love in the kid community. Sure, adults have plenty to celebrate with wearing green and heading downtown, where ever you might live.

Every year around this time I have a bunch of moms ask me…
“What are you doing with your kids for New Year’s Eve?”
We have never really been a family to go out and celebrate with a big adult only party. Honestly until the day we spend New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom in an overly priced VIP area (I can dream), we will most likely be found at home.

There is something so special about the week before Christmas. Last minute preparations, final planning, the kitchen smelling like every delicious yummy food your family loves.
It’s also a time when I know I’m searching everywhere to find fun family events to keep the kids fully engaged in the magic of the season.
